Sign in sheet
This is a list of some of the times we came in to do some editing! Every single time is not on there, due to us completely forgetting to put our names down and it doesn't include the time in lessons we had. However, if one of us had a free and the other person didn't, me or Izzy would still come in and try to develop the main-brief, even if it was just watching it over and making notes, it still helped us to develop the ending product

Main-Brief Progress
In the Easter holidays, me and Izzy decided to come into school and do some editing for Inside! We come in on Tuesday and Thursdays, where we made some finishing touches and fully finished the credits that weren't developed enough.
Due to neither of us having an Apple computing system at home, we couldn't edit outside of school, therefore we tried to get as much done before we broke up from school. Whenever both me and Izzy had a free in school, we would dedicate that to editing some of our footage, this allowed us to get a lot done in the time we had.

Final Storyboard
Due to our ideas changing to allow the opening to look effective, we decided to make the changes and then re-write a story board after we had finished filming. This allowed us to know what to do and what editing techniques to use while editing. For example, the jump cuts that are in the opening were confirmed by the finished story-board.
The change from the original story-board to the updated one, allows me to see the changes we made and how it has improved the piece on a whole.

Opening Credits Research
I decided to research the film The Infidel, a Revolver Entertainment Film, to study the opening credits. This gave me an idea about how to interoperate credits into the opening of our main brief. Even though the genre is a comedy, I felt that these credits would help me in making the decision of making the credits be labelled in the horror genre, therefore making it almost opposite to some of the elements within these credits.
Colour
The credits change from a deep red font on the background, to a light blue font when the characters appear on the screen. The companies names are said first clearly on a plain background. However, it is clear to see the other fonts when the characters on screen, because they appear in unusual places so therefore catch the eye of the audience.
We decided to use the colours red and white for our opening. This is because, white has connotations of innocence, therefore the colour white symbolises the young child who becomes possessed. The colour red connotes evil and danger, which represents the paranormal thing that possesses her. The two colours are contrasting which depicts the storyline to the audience. We interoperated the idea of unusual placing for the credits in our piece, so that it became interested and allowed the audience to concentrate.
Speed
The credits last for a long time in this particular opening sequence. The full set of credits finished at around 4 minutes 38 seconds, on the directors names. The credits are shown at the beginning of the film so that it isn't distracting throughout the rest of the film.
When watching the credits of The Infidel, I notices that the credits took quite long and I became quite bored. Therefore for our piece, the credits almost fly in and don't stay on the screen for very long, so that the audience do no get bored but excited to see the film start.

Changes!
Before putting the finished product of our horror opening named Inside, there have been changes that you should know about:
- We didn't use the establishing shot of the park. This is because, the actors couldn't get to the setting in time therefore it was too time consuming for the youngest actress age only 14 as she had other commitments. Therefore, the establishing shot is now of the house outside at night time. There is subtle view of the little girl who moves away from the window, this suggests that something is going to happen to do with the little girl in the film.
- We also didn't use the male actor in the piece, this is because he couldn't attend the filming day. Instead of the shot in the park with the mum, dad and daughter, we decided to cut straight to the scene of the mum reading the daughter straight to the bed time story scene.
- The most obvious change is that there is know longer a possessive doll! This is because, when filming the doll we had, the result ended up being quite funny, which is obviously not what we wanted to achieve. Therefore instead, we decided to changed the storyline to the little girl becoming possessed by a paranormal being that haunts the house. This allowed the possession to no have to be visible which was easier to achieve the scary effect.
